Some pages of Kernigh's Hub are in the public domain and have no copyright. This means that you are free to copy public domain text from here to another workspace, web site, or anywhere else, with or without giving credit. (Uploaded files, including images, remain copyrighted. In some cases, they may be fair use.)

Reason

Any writing has an implicit copyright (even if it has no copyright notice), unless the writing has a public domain notice, or has no eligibility for copyright. The purpose of the public domain notice at the bottom of some pages of Kernigh's Hub is to discard the implicit copyright.

Before I renamed this place from Kernigh's Personal Wiki to Kernigh's Hub, I allowed other users to edit the pages. I added public domain pages so that other users would not implicitly copyright their edits, unless these users added a copyright notice.

Application

I applied the next two sentences before 27 October 2009:

• The text of Kernigh's Personal Wiki is public domain except where indicated. This means that the text of each page is public domain unless there is an explicit copyright notice, license, or credit to a copyrighted source.

As of 27 October 2009, any new pages of Kernigh's Hub have the implicit copyright, until I add a public domain notice or copyright license to each such page.

Trademarks 

Trademarks are separate from copyrights, so trademarks that appear in Kernigh's Hub belong to their respective owners.
